Last night, we went out to BJ’s in Brea for dinner with some friends and then we all headed over to the Brea Improv to catch John Pinnette in action.
It was actually my first time at a stand-up comedy club. I’ve always wanted to go to one, but just never have. Though, I have been to Second City in Chicago, which is more of an improv show than a stand-up act.
Anyway, John Pinette was hilarious! So were the other two comics that went before him… Unfortunately, I cannot remember their names.
Oddly, when one of our friends let out a big “Whooo!” after a deserving joke, an usher (or whatever he was) came up to her and said, “That was really loud.”
Huh? What the hell does that mean? Are you telling us not to cheer on the performers? Plenty of others were yelling, cheering, clapping and such…
Wierd.
Anyway, it was a great night!
