About cK

Welcome to cK’s personal playground

Yo! Glad to see you made it...

I'll be using this site as my own personal blog. Basically, I'll be posting whatever the hell I feel like posting. I guess it will be more like an online repository for my thoughts. A virtual notebook/idea book/scratch pad/sticky note, per se...

I won't be writing for a particular audience and there will be no rhyme or reason to my posts. If you don't like it, then screw you - you tasteless, unimaginitive, dull, conforming zero... (Ooh...)

If you have anything to say, please leave comments and let me know what's up!

You can read more about me on my About cK page...

Movies I Could Watch Over and Over

My friend, Alli, wrote a blog in her MySpace account that inspired me to write this post…

These are movies I could watch again and again without getting sick of them. I have most of them on DVD, but if I happen to catch them on TV I’ll watch them every time… even if they have commercials!

I Just Felt Like Running…

One of my favorite movies of all time is Forrest Gump. I don’t really have any method to my madness of movie-rating. I just like certain movies because I do.

I even got to check out Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. when Paula and I went up to San Francisco about a month ago.

Anyway, I am running somewhat regularly again. Well, somewhat regularly means 2-3 times per week now.

I’m one of those people that likes to run for fun.

I wanna go fast!

I got to go see a private preview screening of Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby last night. The company I work for sponsors one of the big auto racing teams and I think our PR division had something to do with the movie (- I’m not totally sure how we got hooked up). So I invited my girlfriend, Paula, and our friends, Kevin and Kristina, for the special event.

Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

In true Will Ferrel fashion, the movie was hilarious! I really didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. There were a couple of scenes that were so ridiculously stupid that you couldn’t help but laugh your ass off.

Full Metal Jacket

Stanley Kubrik is one crazy-ass mofo. I watched Full Metal Jacket today for the first time in a couple of years. It is a full-on, in-your-face, super-intense masterpiece. It is definitely one of the greatest movies of all time.

I wrote in a previous post that it would’ve been damn cool to live during the Vietnam War era, but then I would get drafted for the war… and I’m not sure how I feel about that.

I probably would have been a closet hippie. Or maybe a journalist, like Joker was in the movie. I’m definitely not the Animal Mother type.
